Meet Julie

Welcome to Watermark! This inviting and authentic church has been my home for more than 20 years, and I could not be more excited to introduce you to all that you will find here: biblical teaching, genuine and faithful people, and countless opportunities to grow in your walk with Jesus and connect with other believers.

A little about me: I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. When I was eight years old, I went to summer camp for the first time. I can still remember sitting on the floor of the cabin hearing my counselor explain how Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was the way for me to have a relationship with God. Right then, I made the decision then to follow Him. But it wasn’t until the age of 29, after my second baby was born, that I began to understand my own depravity and my deep need for a Lord and Savior. Through the next couple of years as a young mother with a difficult health diagnosis, I learned to believe and trust Jesus more fully. And gratefully I have continued on that journey ever since!

After graduating from Trinity University with a degree in Communications, I married Scott, my favorite adventure partner, and we have three amazing kids: Grace, Sam, and Witt. While raising our children, I also have had the privilege of serving with Women’s Bible Study here at Watermark for many years, most recently as Class Director. I’ve loved getting to know women from all different seasons of life and watching God work in their stories.

Lastly, things that bring me joy are helping others, watching my kids grow into the people God made them to be, outdoor adventures, creating delicious food for people I love, traveling, and ice cream!
