Engaging Our City
“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.” (Jeremiah 29:7)
Impact Areas are opportunities for our church to live out the Biblical mandate to seek the welfare of our city, primarily through those in our body who are partnering with external ministries and churches.
Each Impact Area is responsible for connecting our body to their respective issues, equipping our body to ensure they are able to engage the issues with knowledge and zeal (Ephesians 4:11-12), and mobilizing the body to love and serve the community outside of the four walls of our church (Matthew 5:16).
The Life Initiative
Equipping the church to care for women, men, and the preborn in unexpected pregnancies and abortions.
Family Restoration
Helping parents break patterns of addictions, violence, and poverty so they can care for their children and prevent family breakdown.
Watermark Health
Serving under-resourced and uninsured residents with low-cost urgent care and engaging the community in the Gospel at two locations and a mobile clinic.
Watermark Community Development Corporation
Transforming the economic welfare of our community through job creation, financial literacy, and business development.
Schools
Investing in and serving the staff, students, and families of local schools all over our city.
Local International
Building relationships with neighbors from other countries to help them get acclimated to a new environment while engaging in gospel conversations and expanding your worldview.
Poverty Alleviation/Homelessness
Building relationships to help meet the basic needs of our community through the efforts of our partner organizations.
Anti-sex Trafficking
Fighting the roots and symptoms of sex-trafficking in our city to bring justice and healing to those affected by this industry.
Academy 4
Academy 4 equips communities and churches to build lasting relationships with schools and families.
Brother Bill’s Helping Hands
BBHH serves over 1,300 households in West Dallas through its large food pantry, training classes (including job skills, ESL, and healthy living), Bible studies, and clinic. There are many opportunities to serve with BBHH throughout the week and weekend.
Buckner International
Buckner has addressed the plight of foster kids and orphans, senior adults, and low-income families for over a century. Volunteers can serve in a variety of ways, including sorting shoes for kids, building relationships with low-income families, and “adopting” foster families with your community group!
Cornerstone Church
As a Watermark ministry partner for over 10 years, Cornerstone Church serves the South Dallas community in many ways, including meals, Bible studies, and more.
Fair Park YoungLife
Fair Park YL introduces adolescents in the Fair Park area to Jesus Christ and helps them grow in their faith.
Feed My Starving Children
FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering communities to move from relief to development.
For the Nations
For the Nations serves refugees in the Dallas area in the long process of adapting to life in the United States, providing educational programs, advocating for refugee families, and, most importantly, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
International Christian Fellowship at UTD
ICF exists to share Christ’s love with international students and to equip them for effective service in cooperation with the local church and others.
Men of Nehemiah
Men of Nehemiah is a discipleship program that provides homeless and formerly incarcerated men with residential accommodations, discipleship, recovery support, an array of support services, and more.
Mercy Street
Mercy Street exists to cultivate mutually transforming relationships with inner-city youth through Christian mentorship.
OurCalling
OurCalling builds relationships with homeless friends in order to provide real care and see lives change. Volunteers can help distribute resources to those who visit the center, mentor and disciple, help with recovery, or help locate people on the streets of Dallas to pray with them and discern needs.
Prison Fellowship
Prison Fellowship works with men, women, and families who are affected by incarceration. Their mission includes working towards making prisons safer and more rehabilitative, advancing criminal justice reforms, and helping those affected by crime to heal and flourish in their communities and families.
Refuge for Women
Refuge for Women is a non-profit, faith-based organization providing specialized long-term and emergency housing for women who have escaped human trafficking or sexual exploitation.

Together We Thrive serves vulnerable youth across North Texas, walking alongside youth to help them achieve their goals and reach a place of sustainability.
